The client commissioned the F.A.B research and architecture office to build four single-family houses on the challenging hillside property for sale as residential property, with the Confirm AG executing the construction management.
The four houses are identical in terms of typology as split-level concepts; they differ in the two basement floors in two of the houses. For the specific reaction to the location in the ensemble such as access, car ports, outdoor seating, etc. Buyer wishes and purchase options were taken into account.
Probably the most important feature of a split-level house are the already mentioned multiple levels and open stairs. Compared to the floors of a simple single-family house, the distances between the levels are shorter. This makes particularly good use of space possible. A construction method that is especially perfect for houses on slopes but is now also being built on flat properties. A key challenge for construction management was the complex securing work on the slope for the excavation pits.
The houses nestle perfectly into the uneven hillside location and present a new, modern accent within the district.
