The Merian Gardens in Münchenstein near Basel, Switzerland are run by the Christoph Merian Foundation. The non-profit-making foundation aims to promote the welfare of the people in the city of Basel in Switzerland. The Economy Building stands at the center of the gardens. It was rebuild and renovated to become the future central venue for the gardens.
In addition to the total renovation of the building fabric, a high restaurant standard with the necessary infrastructure set up in the building, as well as a spacious event hall on the first floor. Furthermore, the building was beneath the existing structure.
