We are three successful companies that form a competence centre in the real estate industry under one roof. Our core competencies lie in the areas of consulting, development and brokerage at Imooo AG, planning and architecture at Steigerconcept AG and construction management, cost planning and devising at Confirm AG. Our portfolio includes in particular large-scale projects in healthcare and infrastructure construction as well as public buildings.

To strengthen our team in the Confirm Zurich office, we are looking for a Construction Project Manager (80-100%).

TASKS AND CHALLENGES

You will manage the construction site on site and ensure that work is carried out reliably and according to plan. You will act with foresight, be in close contact with the client and inform the client at an early stage of any irregularities. Your communicative talent and experience help you to find constructive solutions together with planners and contractors, even as a troubleshooter. Thanks to your flexibility and extensive expertise, you are able to participate in different phases and different projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCES

Ideally, you have a basic education in planning, e.g. as a structural draughtsman / architect or a construction-related profession, e.g. as a bricklayer or carpenter with further training to become a federally certified construction manager or technician in structural engineering. Several years of experience in construction management are important to us. You act proactively, communicate with the various contact persons in an appropriate manner and keep calm even when problems arise at short notice thanks to your pragmatic approach to finding solutions.

For our demanding construction projects

  • Ongoing inner-city construction project in the final phase, construction with individual awards Feb 2022 – Oct 2025
  • Prospective construction project, construction by a general contractor, preparation of the general contractor’s tender, reuse & design for disassembly (DfD), residential construction.
  • Prospective construction project, tender from Q3 2025, construction with individual awards Dec 2025 – Jun 27, conversion (especially gutting, pollutant removal, facade renovation, basic construction).

We are looking for a Construction Manager in Basel.

  • Independent local construction management of demanding construction projects
  • Planning, monitoring, and coordinating on-site construction execution
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, schedule, and cost requirements, as well as relevant legal regulations and standards
  • Monitoring occupational safety regulations and implementing measures in the event of deviations
  • Coordination of the companies and trades involved in the construction
  • Communication and coordination with project participants, authorities, and external partners
  • Creation and maintenance of schedules and construction schedules
  • Documentation of construction progress and implementation of quality controls
  • Supporting the planning team in the preparation of tender documents, preparing and reviewing the bill of quantities (according to NPK) and the tender document
  • Monitoring construction costs, invoice control, and maintaining construction accounting
  • Conducting construction acceptance inspections and coordinating defect rectification, monitoring commissioning and start-up processes, and final construction documentation
    Optional:
  • Support of the project management in order analysis and project management
  • Coordination of overarching tasks in the construction process
  • Drafting of contracts and drawing up of works contracts
  • Organisation and management of commissioning and commissioning processes
  • Knowledge of sustainable building e.g. Re-Use & Design for Disassembly (DfD), EU Taxonomy, LEED, SNBS, Minergie, etc.
  • Good knowledge of building fire protection
  • English skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Messerli BAUAD, MS-Project and Dalux

Your profile:

  • Enjoyment of the job, motivation and a proactive way of working
  • Several years of professional experience in the management of construction projects
  • Training as a high-rise draughtsman, draughtsman in the field of architecture, construction manager (federal Dipl. HFP), technician HF construction planning
  • Knowledge of building law and relevant standards
  • Outstanding organisational talent and leadership skills
  • Safe handling of common project management and construction
